Well, it is definitely Winter in Idaho. It seems all it has done lately is snow and then snow some more. I love the way the snow looks when it first falls, but other than that I don't really enjoy the wet, cold, and slippery conditions that come with it. Luckily, we had great weather to drive down to Utah for Christmas. We had a wonderful visit with family and even had the chance to catch up with some old friends. We had our traditional Christmas Eve party at my Mom's house with lots of wonderful food and company.

Christmas Day
--------------------------------------------
SleddingOver New Year's we went to Nathan's parents to take the kids sledding behind the four wheeler. Alex was so excited she could hardly sleep the night before. First thing in the morning I awoke to Alex standing by my bed in her hat, mittens, and snow boots. She was holding her snow pants and said "Mommy, can you help me put these on?" She wore them around all morning and finally got to go sledding. She had a blast on the sled with her cousins, but she got cold pretty quickly and wanted to come in.
Izzie got to go out in the snow for a little while, but she wasn't a fan. She was bundled up so much I think she was frustrated because she couldn't move. The rest of the time she watched all of the action from the window of the warm house.
It was a fun day, I am sure Alex will be bugging us to go again very soon!
