A Very Special Easter

We had a very special weekend, not only because it was Easter, but also because we blessed Isabelle on Easter Sunday. The weekend started off with an Easter egg hunt at the park in Shelley. Alex got three eggs. Apparently the economy even affected the number of eggs businesses were willing to donate for the egg hunt, because it was pretty slim pickings. At least Alex got a few eggs (thanks to the help of her daddy at her side). Alex was thrilled and that is all that matters to me.

My parents and my grandparents drove up on Saturday afternoon. It was fun to be able to show my Grandma and Joe our new home. My Grandma kept telling me I had it "made in the shade," which I thought was funny. I think that means that she liked our home.
That evening we went to Keith and Cherie's for a BBQ for Keith's birthday (which was also on Sunday!) The kids had fun doing another Easter egg hunt around the house.

Sunday morning was a little crazy around the house getting everybody ready for the blessing and the lunch that was to follow. We did manage to get some pictures of Alex in her Easter dress.

Nathan gave Isabelle a beautiful blessing. Isabelle didn't make a peep through the entire thing. Both of our girls are lucky to have parents who love them so much. Not to mention all of our extended family who love them too. Thanks so much to everyone who was there. I had fun taking pictures of Isabelle in her blessing dress after her blessing. She looked like a sweet little angel.

We owe a special thanks to our Aunt Peggy who finished the gorgeous pink blanket Izzie is laying on just in time for her blessing. Thanks Peggy-you are so talented!

Here is Isabelle with her Grandma Kate and Grandpa Alvey. I wish I could have gotten pictures of everyone.

Izzie had a special cake for her special day.

After the kids had naps they were both in a great mood, so I took advantage and got some cute pictures.

We hope everyone had as wonderful of an Easter as we did!
