The first part of last week we had the most beautiful weather. We wanted to be outside and take advantage of the sunshine, so we took Alex and Isabelle for a picnic at the park. Alex was a little unsure about the slide and swings at first. Her first trip down the twisting slide was disaster because she went down by herself and came out up side down and she was scared. She was okay going down the slide as long as someone went with her. It has been a long time since I have been down a slide, but it was fun to take Alex down. Nathan got to have a few turns as well.
We also got to take turns swinging with Alex. I realized that I have become a bit of a wimp because I actually got nauseous swinging for more that a few minutes. What has happened to me??
Isabelle enjoyed her afternoon nap in the shade while we played.
Alex was having so much fun it was difficult to get her to leave. It was so cute to see this look of pure joy on her face. All she talked about for several days after were the swings and the slide. Looks like we better factor a swing set into our landscaping plans!
