On Thursday Nathan's coworkers were nice enough to have a going away party for him. They teased him relentlessly about abandoning them after only being here for three months. Nathan felt undeserving of a big party since he has only been here a short time, but thankful for such a nice gesture. It is a tradition within his company to give silly gag gifts to each other and his coworkers did not disappoint. He received two Mr. Potato heads, a large can of hairspray (because his hair is always perfect), a visitors map to Oregon, his own set of keys to a Uhaul truck (for when we move again in 3 months, ha, ha), and of coarse this darling potato shaped cake.
These are the other Facility Administrators that work in the surrounding area who came to the party (Christine refused to turn around for the picture).
Alex couldn't resist the urge to try to get her fingers in the cake, and she succeeded.
Alex loved Mr. Potato head, but she is still too little to play with him.

We were hoping to head for Idaho today since the moving truck is packed and should be picked up today, but we ran into a little snag with our car. All week I had been thinking about getting the car tuned up before we left and just kept putting it off. Well, I took it in on Friday and they said it has major problems and there is no way we should drive the car to Idaho. So, since the car shop is closed on Saturday, we are stuck here (with no furniture) until they can get the car fixed on Monday. It's kind of like camping without the scenery. Wish us luck!

I hope everything goes well for you. Did you sell your house in Portland already? Buying a new one in Boise? Good luck with all the moving in!
