To the pumpkin patch please!

This last weekend we headed to Baggensto's farm down the street. They take you on a tractor pulled hayride out to their pumpkin patch. It was one of the coldest days we have had so far in Oregon. Alex wasn't sure what to think about the cold. Even though she was bundled up, Nathan put her inside his coat just to make sure she was warm.

There was a sea of pumpkins and I admit it was difficult to choose one. Nathan and I both had a hard time remembering the last time we carved a pumpkin. One of the great things about being a parent is experiencing all of the things you loved as a kid over again. Even though Alex won't remember Halloween this year, she is still having fun. I apologize that I don't have a picture of the finished carved pumpkin. Nathan did a great job carving the headless horseman in our pumpkin. I guess you will just have to take my word on it.

We had the Beehives paint pumpkins for our last activity because we didn't trust them with a knife. Carving pumpkins can be dangerous! =)

I love how Alex is keeping his little fingers inside her jacket. She must have hated the cold.

Looks like you guys had a good time!
