Yesterday when we were having dinner, Nathan called and wanted to talk to Alex. It was so funny watching her eat, drink, and talk her Dad's ear off at the same time. Multitasking is definitely a female trait, and she is off to a great start.
Nope, it is not dirt. It's black beans and rice from our favorite food joint Cafe' Rio. Alex is a pretty picky eater and eats very little, but when it comes to Cafe' Rio, she could eat it for every meal (Just like her mother!)
I took this picture the other day when the kids were hanging out on our bed. I think Izzie is started to resemble Alex more and more. What do you think?
It is hard to get Alex to just do a normal smile when you take her picture. When you tell her to say "cheese" she scrunches up her face and squints her eyes. I discovered that having her say other words like "princess" or "monkey" results in a little less of a contorted face (see picture below).
Obviously, it is still a work in progress. I am looking for the code word to just get a normal smile.
My beloved hairdresser and sister-in-law Megan moved to Arizona this last month leaving us high and dry for hair dos. I had to result to cutting Alex's bangs myself with my fabric shears (they were the sharpest I had). I think I got them a little on the short side, but they are not too bad for an amateur. Megan, we miss you and you will be happy to know that Alex has noticed your absence. She keeps asking me where Andy, Megan, and Coy are. Now she tells me all of the time that you guys are in "Zona". We hope "Zona" is treating you well.
