Alex turned two years old today! Happy Birthday Alex! How is it possible that our little baby is now two? It is hard to even remember life before Alex was part of it. She has such a fun personality and we love her so much.
Alex had a fun birthday party surrounded by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was a little overwhelmed by all the commotion opening her presents, but she was excited about all of the fun new toys she received.
Okay, so I realize that this cake would never grace the pages of a Martha Stewart magazine, but it is not too bad for a first attempt at cake decorating. My Mom has some fun patterns for cutting out cakes and we decided to give it a try.
Alex started sampling the candy off the top before she even blew out the candles. As long as the cake met her approval, that is all that matters to me.
My parents surprised us by driving up for the weekend to celebrate Alex's birthday. It was so fun to have them here-thanks for making the trip!

So much fun! I can't believe that she is two. We had fun with her at Christmas. We wish we could have been there for her Birthday but that would have been a really long drive! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!
