Smiles, and Thumb Sucking

Alex is shy when it comes to smiling for the camera. By the time I get the camera the moment has passed. However, the other morning when she was in a particularly great mood I had my cell phone handy to capture some smiles. This explains the poor quality of the pictures, but beggars can't be choosers.





Most days I am lucky to get an uninterrupted shower because Alex does not like to let me out of her sight. I usually try to fit a shower in while she is napping. Today she was wide awake when I wanted to shower, so I put her in the bathroom in her bouncey chair hoping she would behave. I was amazed how quiet she was while I was in the shower and decided to see what had caputured her attention. I soon discovered it was her thumb. She was just as content as could be sucking away at it. I am okay with it for now, it is actually kind of cute. I just don't want her to turn into a four year old that you constantly have to pull her thumb out of her mouth!
