Izzie's First Haircut

Turns out Izzie is like her Mom in a lot of ways.  I also was very slow to grow hair when I was little, but after 2 1/2 years, I am happy to say that Izzie got her first haircut!  We waited until Aunt Megan was in town, so she could do the honors.  After all, she cut Alex's for the first time, so we thought we would keep the tradition going.  Izzie was so excited, and actually did really well holding still.  I think she loved all of the attention and had a huge smile the whole time.

Who knew getting a haircut could be so much fun??

This picture doesn't really do the haircut justice because I hadn't styled it yet, but her little bob looked darling. It made her instantly look like a little girl instead of a baby.

The past week or so we have had some funny situations with our kids falling asleep.  First off, Izzie fell asleep in the car with her sunglasses sort of on.

Then Alex passed out under the kitchen table still clinging on to the balloon from Brynlee's birthday party we had just come home from.  She played so hard, she literally fell asleep the first place she landed.

And last, Sienna somehow managed to get her headband on her face as she slept in her swing.

Izzie is such a character, we just love to see what she will do next, she is always very entertaining.  Her cousins have been raising sheep as part of a 4H project and wear rubber boots when they go out into the pasture.  Izzie loves to put on their boots and walk around in them.  Especially the ones that are way too big for her.  I am pretty sure it is a fashion faux pas wearing them with her swimsuit!

Another funny quirk Izzie has developed is stomping off into the hallway huffing, and folding her arms,  all the while proclaiming "I'm mad!"  Usually there is no rhyme or reason to it.  She does it just because she feels like it.  What a card.

Alex is such a little sweetheart.  Part of me is sad to see her growing up so quickly, but the other part of me is so excited to see what she will accomplish next.  She just learned how to pump herself on the swing.  She loves to do it, and I love not having to stand there to push her!  Hopefully she can teach Izzie how to do it!

She can't ride a bike on her own yet, but here she is giving it a try with her Daddy helping her.

Alex was invited to a tea party at her friend Lilly's house.  She was so excited and got all dressed up for the occasion.  I had to get a few pictures of how adorable she looked.

We have been to the zoo quite a few times this summer.  On this trip we went with almost all of the girl's cousins.  Even baby Dane was in town and got to come with us.
