Sienna Jayde Bodily arrived June 7th, 2011 at 7:49 pm. She weighed 6 lb. 14 oz (the exact same as Alex) and was 19 1/4 inches long.
On Tuesday morning, I started having contractions every 4 minutes and they kept up throughout the day but didn't really get more intense. Finally, I decided to go to the doctor to see if the contractions were really doing anything. He said there was a change compared to my last appointment on Friday and felt that I was close enough to my due date that if I wanted to go to the hospital and have them augment my labor (pitocin and break my water) that he felt comfortable doing that. I enthusiastically agreed and after a quick stop at the house to get my bags, we were off to the hospital. They started my IV (after 3 tries) and turned on the pit at around 4 pm. By 5:30 I was ready for my epidural. Unfortunately, it was only working on my right side and I could feel everything on my left side. With the pitocin being turned up every 20 minutes, the contractions were getting more intense and so was the pain on my left side. At that point, I was dilated to a 6 and the anesthetist offered to redo the epidural to see if we could get me numb on the left side. I agreed because I didn't know how much longer I would be in labor. Finally... relief! My epidural was working. However, as soon as it was working, I was suddenly at a ten, ready to deliver, and my doctor had left the building! It seemed like an eternity until he got there, and for a while I thought the nurses were going to deliver the baby. Luckily, he made it just in time.
Keith, Cherie, Alex, and Izzie were right outside the delivery room doors and were able to hear the babies first cries. The girls were so excited to see their new baby sister. It was so fun to have them there and to be part of the excitement.
Alex and Izzie could hardly wait to hold their new little sister.
Proud Papa!

Sienna looks a lot like Alex did as a baby, but she definitely has her own look too. She is so sweet and we love her so much!
