A princess and a pirate

Halloween was so much fun this year. Alex was able to understand a little better. She kept saying "I princess". She did make a pretty cute princess. We went to Shelley to go trick-or-treating with all of Alex's cousins. It didn't take Alex long to catch on to the idea of going to houses and getting candy. She didn't want anyone to put the candy in her pumpkin for her, she just wanted them to hand it to her so she could put it in there herself. At a few of the houses she just walked right in when they opened the front door and started helping herself to the candy. Luckily they just laughed and thought it was cute. Next year we will have to work on the etiquette of trick-or-treating!

Murder/Mystery Party

The week before Halloween we had a Murder/Mystery dinner party at Keith and Cherie's. It was so much fun. It was a pirate theme so everyone dressed up as pirates and had their own assigned part to play. The funniest part of the whole evening was that Nathan misread his part and didn't know he was the murderer. He thought it was really funny that everyone voted for him as the guilty party when he really didn't think he had done it.
