I'm the big sister

Alex has a very special announcement to make. She is going to be a big sister! We are all very excited and wanted to share the news. When my parents were up here for the 4th of July we put Alex in her "I'm the big sister" shirt and let things unfold. It didn't take my Mom long to figure it out because the first thing she did was sit down with Alex on her lap. She had a funny look on her face as she read the shirt and then looked at me and asked "Is this an announcement?" She and my Dad were very excited for us. It was fun for my parents to be a part of telling Nathan's family as well. We just let Alex break the news by wearing her shirt all day. It was a lot of fun.
So far things have been going pretty good. I forgot how tired you get when you're pregnant. I am sure it doesn't have anything to do with chasing an 18 month old around all the time. I was pretty nauseated for 3 or 4 weeks but I am doing much better now. I had my first prenatal visit last week and got to hear the baby's heartbeat. That is always such a great feeling. My due date is February 8th. I am due just a few weeks later than I was with Alex.

Island Park

This past weekend we drove up to Island Park to have a picnic and look at all of the wildflowers. Some of Nathan's family were already up there camping, so we were able to meet up with them for a little while. It was such a beautiful day.

Andy had some fun trying to push Nathan into the lake.

This is Cherie and Kristen's little boy Zachary. He is getting such a cute personality. He has so much hair on top of his head he looks like he is sporting a toupee.

This is the newest addition to the family. Makoy is Megan and Andy's little boy. He is only 3 weeks old.


Alex had so much fun playing on this stuffed horse. She just loves animals in any form.

We stopped by to check out our property. Right now it is covered in wildflowers (mostly daisies) but we are hoping sometime in the near future to build our family cabin on it.
