Canon Beach

Last weekend we headed out to the coast to Canon Beach. It was such a beautiful day. It was cool, but the sun was shining and there were clear blue skies. We had lunch at a restaurant near the beach and walked around visiting some of the shops in the little town. Canon Beach is very charming, it has an almost Jackson Hole like feel to it.


Haystack Rock is much larger than I thought it would be. The rocky Oregon coast is beautiful.


Alex was having fun watching the water and the people all around.


This is a lookout point south of Canon Beach. It felt like you could see beach forever.


We drove south along the coast to Tillamook and took a tour of the cheese factory. It was Saturday, so the observatory was not that exciting since no one was working. We still had samples of cheese and ate ice cream, but can you believe they were out of cheese curd? What kind of a CHEESE FACTORY runs out of cheese curd? It was still a very fun filled day.


The other day Alex fell asleep in the funniest position. It looks like she is having a temper tantrum, but she is fast asleep.



This video of Alex is not exactly riveting and its a little unsteady because she is holding on to the camera strap the whole time. I still thought it was cute and when she jabbers you can see her two little teeth on the bottom.
