Before we left for Oregon, our family had a BBQ at Amy's house. It was tons of fun and I wanted to share some of the pictures.
I love this picture of Alex with her Grandpa Alvey.
Grandma Jackson broke her arm cleaning out her garbage can a week before this picture was taken.
She didn't let it get in the way of holding Alex even if it did hurt.
Weston is sporting his new glasses. Doesn't he look adorable?
Braden can't wait to come out to Portland to visit. He really wants to go to the awesome skate park they have here. Braden is an amazing skateboarder.
I love this picture of Parker. He is going to be taller than all of us soon!
Candice and Cole got engaged the day before this picture was taken. The date is still to be announced. Amy is too hot to be a Grandma. Candice and Cole are expecting a baby girl in December.
If this picture was a little closer up you could see all of the paint in Mom and Dad's hair. They have been working tirelessly to get their basement finished. We are excited they will have room for us to stay when we come visit.
Melanie used to live near Portland in Gresham. I am hoping she will talk Craig into coming up to visit. I am also glad we took this picture before Craig helped us load the moving truck. He was bumped, bruised, and bleeding by the time we finished (thanks Craig and sorry about your head).
Spencer was able to take his eyes off of his cell phone long enough to take a picture. He is a texting maniac!
Alex was a little grumpy at the party because she was cutting teeth.
Joe couldn't resist getting down on the ground to play with Alex. The trick was getting up again.
We took this picture of Alex just before we left the house for the last time. She was so tired she just passed out on her blanket. I am sad that she will never have any memories of our house in Springville since it is the house we brought her home to. Oh well, I guess I have enough memories for the both of us.

Seeing that picture of Alex sleeping in your empty house made me cry.
I know exactly how you feel. I promise. It sucks, but it will get better.
(And remember, Seattle is only 3 hours away!)
