Five Months Old

How is it possible that Alex will be five months old this Tuesday? It is amazing how much she has learned in such a short time. She is getting so strong and can support herself sitting with minimal help. Lately I have been seat belting her into her bouncy chair because she can wiggle right out of it.



A few days ago Alex weighed 13 1/2 lbs. You can see how her little legs are filling out and getting chubby. It is so cute. Everyone keeps teasing me about how white her skin is. I bought a season pass to Seven Peaks Water Park, so maybe she will get a little bit of sun there.
Lately Alex has been playing with her feet nonstop. She figured out out to untie her shoe and pull her sock off so she can see her toes. Most the time I don't even bother putting her shoes on because they just come right back off. What an easy life sitting around playing with your feet.



Just in the last week Alex has started reaching for things (like the camera). She also loves to touch peoples faces and especially likes noses. Today she was facinated with her Uncle Craig's beard and kept trying to pull it off.



It wont be long before Alex is mobile. She is trying to figure out how to crawl. She doesn't know what to do with her hands, so she uses her face to push off the floor and then pushes with her feet.



Alex really is a happy baby though you can't tell from her pictures lately. She is always more interested in the camera than in smiling!
