Alex's First Plane Ride

This last weekend the Bodily family set off to Portland to find a house to live in. Alex's experience on the plane was a little rough on the way there. She had a really bad cold and I think the pressure in the airplane was hurting her ears and her sinuses.

Downtown Portland is really pretty by the water. We were lucky enough to have some great weather while we were there.

Alex loved being packed around by her Daddy in the Baby Bjorn. It was a nice way to have your hands free, and she loved being able to see everything.

Alex wasn't very interested in sleeping in the crib provided by the hotel.

She did however enjoy sleeping in Mommys bed. I think it is the longest she has ever slept.

This is Alex's new favorite toy. We call him "ducky" (I know very creative right?) She loves to chew on ducky and especially eat his beak. She just lights up whenever she sees him.

Here is a picture of our new home in Portland. We are just going to be renting, but we felt very lucky to find this house. It has some Grandma touches inside, like flowery wallpaper, but it was the nicest house we found, and the owner doesn't mind if I paint. The community it is in is very nice with tons of elderly people, so we know it will be quiet!

Oh man, I'm glad the trip went well and that you had good weather. Phew. Yeah, it's ALWAYS sunny in the Pacific Northwest! (wink, wink)

The new place looks fabulous. I can't wait to hear more about it.
